# Roadmap Overview

An NFT roadmap often serves as the connecting bridge between both the Holders and the Project Team. For the community, it is a piece of visual/written information to understand what the project is trying to achieve in both the short and long term. Whereas for the Project Team, the roadmap functions as both an agreement on the direction of the project as well as the progress of the team.

The Stellar Drifters Team has decided to opt for a visual roadmap for a few reasons.

1. As the NFT market cycle and meta changes ever so rapidly, a visual roadmap allows for the Project Team to pivot the direction of the project onto one that is relatable in the existing meta without over promising on roadmap items that may have fallen out of favour in the cycle.
2. The idea of a written roadmap often presents itself in two ends of the spectrum. It could appear as being dull and vague whereas on the other hand it could over promise beyond what a team can deliver. What we intend for our visual roadmap to provide for us is a balanced compromise between both ends of the spectrum.
3. Lastly, a visual roadmap gives us the flexibility to execute items in no specific chronological order. This allows the team room for creativity in adapting roadmap items to the existing market cycle.

In general, we feel that as a project with heavy emphasis on art, it would only be appropriate for us to push out the direction of the project in that form as well. Keywords: Free-form & Creative.

Each roadmap item will have two main targets:

1. Increasing holder value
2. Integrating our community

We will use the Stellar Papers as the foundation upon which to expand on the rationale and execution of our roadmap items. Stay tuned!
